What a bloody idiot.
The London underground may be crowded during the rush hour but it's
1) Cheap
2) Reliable
3) Quick
4) Convenient
Something like 40% of people who travel to london use it every day.
Americas obsession with 'displacement' under its bonnet is unsustainable and irresponsible. Public Transport is arguably the most sensible medium to long term solution. If America is so blind and ignorant to see that its current transport behaviour is ecological suicide then so be it. There's not a lot that can be done if arguably the most developed nation in the world plays carbon-lout.
