They have no choice but to means-test Social Security and knock the minimum age up to 70 otherwise it along with Medicare will bankrupt the nation. The liberals will scream like stuck hogs: Why? Because Social Security was supposed to be one of the great triumphs of New Deal progressive socialism. Of course we all know that when FDR crafted Social Security, the eligibility age was above the mean life expectancy (everyone drank and smoked too much back then). Social Security was a classic Ponzi scheme. Unfortunately it's now all fouled up because people live too long. So we transform Social Security from a national pension system into an ordinary welfare handout to the poor. We have yet another example of progressive socialist politics tossed into the trash can of retrograde failure.
