Andre Norton.
Way back in the early 1960's, Andre Norton was one of the first science-fiction authors I read.
Andre Norton's work appealed to both young and old.
Biut until recently I was subject to some misconceptions
about the author's personal life.
FIRST: I assumed Andre Norton was a "man".
SECOND: I assumed Andre Norton was "French".
I found out neither is true. Andre Norton is a nom de plume
for a woman from Cleveland, Ohio.
She died this past week...Her writings will be missed.
