re: Space Investing: Nearing a transition point?

One hopes so. The first space companies I worked for were investor-funded, and it was a real pain in the butt. Needless to say, some of those who got into space investing in the early years were a bit eccentric. Money was doled out a bit at a time, and we tried to push the envelope on a budget. Wasn't easy.

Doing contracts now, with customers instead of investors. Okay, so nobody's going to get rich by going public, but getting paid a given amount for a specific job done, and nobody looking over your shoulder, has a lot to recommend it.
