Well, excepting poverty level consumption. Imagine a world without hours of productivity pissed away filing tax forms. A world where folks could instead relax, spend time with family, whatever. Paychecks with no taxes deducted, with an automatic 23% tax on consumption for everyone, less rebates for low total $ consumers. In this scenario rich yuppie scum who consume the most, pay the most. NO DEDUCTIONS. No loopholes for the 'beautiful people'.
Sadly, tax professionals, lawyers and vote & contribution seeking pols legislating favored loopholes would not benefit.
