'Extras' - Behind the scenes...
For those that havnt twigged - it's obviously an April Fool. I modelled the sundial to scale from photos and drawings, and using some drawings of the rover - set the camera to the right distance, height and F.O.V. and rendered a full 1024 x 1024 image.
This was composited, using the alpha channel, onto an image actually taken way back near Pot of Gold - noise added - and then the green channel copied out and pasted in to its own image to make the 'filtered' look of the picture.
