HARARE, Zimbabwe (CNN) -- President Robert Mugabe's party has won enough seats to secure a two-thirds parliamentary majority and so change the constitution, according to news agency reports on Saturday.

With most of the 120 contested parliamentary seats from Thursday's election declared, results on the official counting screen at the Harare election centre showed Mugabe's Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front won 71 seats, compared to 39 for the main opposition Movement for Democratic Change, The Associated Press reported.
