re: Hyperion: Dan Simmons Kicks ***
I LOVED those books. The sequel, 'Fall of Hyperion' is also a link to the 'Endymyon' books which I liked even better. He really writes well. Love the 'web'.
His newest SF book "Illyum" is about the battle for Troy but has Greek Gods, nanotech, and Olympus Mons, the Martian one as central tenets. Its sequel 'Olympos' comes out this July.
