Cask Strength 160 proof semantic quibbling from Tom

Okay, so at least one othet filibuster has been used to block the approval of a judicial appointment by a floor vote of the senate.

But the statement that "There has not been a situation like this, where members of one party have blocked nominees from even receiving an up or down vote on the floor. "

Is somehow not a lie, incorrect, or a mistruth.

Rather, you would have us believe that there is some shade, some nuance, some interpretation of meaning whereby this is not an obvious violation of truth.

How stupid do you think we are?

Lets be clear, GWB senate confirmation record of judges is pretty good for a president of any term, much less second. We are talking about a handful (less than 5) judges that have been blocked by filibuster. While the republicans never executed a senate filibuster successfully to block a nomination, at least I recall that they have tried this tactic in the past. This is massive unreality here.
