What would you suggest? Letting them go?
We are fighting a WAR. In war, it is tradition to hold prisoners until a peace treaty is signed. Since Al Qaeda will never sign a peace treaty, and these bozos are part of Al Qaeda, they are going to be held forever. Sorry, it comes with the territory.
You might consider that Al Qaeda KILLS those whom it captures, so holding them permanently is not so harsh.
