What does a "managed" economy (yet another of seemingly thousands of euphemisms) buy you, except another layer of potential problems?

Oddly, I've never run into nearly as many criminals as you seem to have. The idea that businessmen are naturally crooks is part of the liberal's faith. I have met maybe two such in my entire life, compared to many dozens of honest, hardworking entrepreneurs.

The stark evidence of many countries where the economy was "run" by the government, especially in the area of agriculture, speaks for itself. We may not be there yet, but we don't want to go further in that direction.
