Watched it early this morning (spoiler warning)

It was done pretty well, and considering it was done on a $25,000 budget it was better than my expectations. To say it was better than Lucas's is a bit of a stretch, however I think some of the starship fighting scenes were on par. The only really lousy effects were at the end with the explosions on the planet.

The acting wasn't great, but considering these guys weren't paid anything for it, it makes it OK.

I did like the story line. There was a major loose end left that I'd like to see resolved with a sequal. Having a female in a major role of the dark side, was a refreshing, though I think they could have cast a better actress were they able to pay for one. The charachters could have used a bit more fleshing out. I wasn't too attached to the good guys.

Some of the voices were a bit off. Vader's voice was a bit higher than it should have been. Perhaps Anakin was still dealing with puberty behind the mask.

On the subject of copyright, I wonder if that's why Darth Vader's name was misspelled in the closing credits. (Yes, I even watched those too). I don't know how Emeror Palpadine's name is spelled in the original Canon, but I suspect they mispelled it as well, coinsidering those were the only 2 charachters from Lucas's movies to play a part in Revelation.

The music was great. I don't know if it was original or lifted. (OK so I didn't watch ALL of the closing credits)

One last thing, there was no Jar Jar like charachter or slapstick comedy. A major plus. The humor was more on the level of Han Solo's and Leiah's bickering.

Definitely worth the price of admission. :) Seriously its a good way to spend 45 minutes of free time.
