Space/Science » in reply to Birth of a black hole

I refuse to believe it! Where's are the gravity-waves?

So they're saying a blackhole is being born, 'now', as two NS merge? Hmmm?

Well then, where are the gravity-waves that should be detected when two neutron stars merge?

I refuse to believe that a black hole is being born until those theorized gravity-waves are detected.

Oh yes! We NOW have gravity-wave detectors on Earth that are extremely sensitive, even
sensitive enough to detect violent cosmic events 1000's of parsecs away.

I'm waiting...
