Of course, it is good to kill as many of these scumbag terrorists as we can, but progress in the war depends on other things as well.
First and foremost is getting the new Iraqi Government off of its ass and onto its feet. When people start to have respect and faith in the new government, they will turn in the terrorsts as quickly as they can. Right now, they are still intimidated and unsure of the way things are going.
Second is getting Zarqawi and his inner circle. We have captured several of them lately, but we must get the entire upper command echelon in order to break the back of the Al Qaeda force in Iraq. Then we can track down and kill the unorganized small fry to keep them from fleeing Iraq and setting up shop elsewhere.
Third is finishing off the Sunni Ba'athist resistance, which has been greatly diminished lately. Right now the bulk of the attacks come from Al Qaeda which should not let us get our minds off the Sunni Ba'athists, lest they regroup. They must be hunted down and destroyed.
Fourth is to find and capture or kill Osama Bin Laden and the rest of his close buddies and thereby put the kibosh on the entire Al Qaeda organization.
