Arnold (I always call him that because typing Schwartzenegger is too damn much work and I only have a chance of spelling it right) is stepping on the toes of a LOT of entrenched special interests out here.

Most of the changes he's trying to make are badly needed, but the unions, and a lot of politicians (who like the redistricting just the way it is, thank you), are going to fight every inch of the way, and accuracy is going to be very low on the priority list.

The teacher's union has targeted millions of dollars against Arnold's propositions. We closed a middle school here for lack of about half a million a year in funding.
