The Sun and the Moon
No, no pictures or science this time, but semantics.
Why is the Moon masculin in english, dutch and german and the Sun feminin in those three languages, while La Lune is feminine and Le Soleil is masculin in french??? (and latin).
Must have originated further in time than when the Normands invaded England and brought the french language into the islands.
