Well, it is *a* prediction, but not the only one, of course. You have to expect TV to hype their product some to sell it to the masses. What I care about is that a plausible scenario for alien life is being presented to the public.
Did you see the Web site for Alien Planet? Even the starship plans are plausible; it isn't just a fantasy craft designed solely to get us to the alien world.
