Uh, wait a minute...
I know there have only been 12 men to actually walk on the Moon and they certainly deserve recognition for their efforts and sacrifices, but to essentially give up a piece of moon rock to sit on someone's shelf forever?
Do we really have that many samples that we can just start giving them away, even to those who have been there? Or am I just being too scientifically paranoid?
Or better yet, is this a sign from NASA that we will soon be getting a lot more samples in the next few years?
