To place all the blame on Newsweek, as some here seem to want - especially when these allegations had been printed elsewhere in the past, is disingenuous at best.
I tend to agree with Sullivan again - the admin and right wing commentators have made such a big deal over this that when a verifiable story does come out it's going to be much worse than if they had let it lie.
