Comic genius dies
< a href="http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7898702/">The great Frank Gorshin.
His standup was incredible. Brought tears to my eyes, in Las Vegas (many years ago).
I recall a routine he did on TV (Tonight Show? Ed Sullivan? One-hour variety format? Can't remember.), where he was doing a Brando/Godfather impression. It was a pretty dumb joke with a dumb punchline. But he messed up the timing, and before he got to the punchline he laughed and admitted that he messed up the timing. So he started the joke over and did the timing right and it was hilarious!
