This stuff is clearly beyond my ken but I read somewhere that Q really doesn't exist per se. What's really happening is that in the infinite universe there are really big distortions in space left over from the Big Bang similar to the smaller ripples we see from COBE. Outside our observable light cone, a big ripple is pulling our observable universe via normal Einsteinan gravitational distortion of space producing what looks like here on a 'small scale' an anomolous acceleration. If you try to think of infinities beyond what we can observe because of finite c, this seems plausible to me. And if the universe is infinite, infinity means that our very Earth and all on it is repeated elsewhere, endlessly. Think about it.
Whatever is going on, I feel is still way beyond our understanding.
