What are the Europeans going to do?

Looks like the Europeans have screwed themselves big time. What are they going to do? Obviously writing their constitution like it was a new version of the Napoleonic Code was less than intelligent.

This actually provides the United States and England with an opportunity. I'd like to see a league of Anglo-Saxon nations, e.g. the U.S., Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Essentially if the people in a country spoke English, had a sound economy, practiced democracy and English common law then it could join the league. Any citizen within the league could work and live within any member country of the league. Travel between member states would not require a passport. No trade barriers would be permitted between countries of the league. The league would use a single common currency. The league would also have a single standing military with all its soldiers wearing the same style of uniform and use the same type of weapons. I'd make Wellington, New Zealand or Hobart, Tasmania the captial city (far away so it would cause less harm to North America and be harder for an enemy to attack). This league idea is pure fantasy but I still think it would be cool.
