If Democrats lose an election, it's because something is deeply wrong with the way things are. The vote was rigged, the machines were hacked, the voters were fooled, or stupid, or something like that. Listen to Democrats talk for a while about the elections, and see what they say. Especially the ones on the fringes.

The Democrats in Congress firmly believe that their being out of power is an aberration, an injustice against what ought to be. They are behaving accordingly.

Obviously, if the Democrats controlled the Presidency, the Congress, and the Supreme Court, not one of them would have the slightest concern about whether the government was "balanced" enough. It would be fun to go through the files from 1992 to 1994, and see if a single person of the liberal persuasion ever stood up and complained that there was too much power in one party.
