TPS article freudian slip?

Didn't ANYBODY read it! <grin>

"On the other side of the planet, Opportunity continues making painfully slow progress out of the sand dune into which she drove on April 26 while cruising across the Meridiani plains to the Etched Terrain. After two weeks of analysis and ground testing at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory's sandbox at the top of May, the team finally commanded the rover to move. In the last two weeks, the rover has done an awful lot of spinning her wheels, slipping most of the time, but has pushed onward, more than two feet, toward her escape. All things considered -- and with no AAA truck and wench on hand -- two feet is progress, and Squyres told The Planetary Society yesterday that he remains confident the rover will be back out cruising the plains at some point in coming weeks."

I think the author meant 'winch', although if you're stuck in the desert,
having a 'wench on hand' can prove diverting....
