Yes, I have. I tend to think his stuff is "out there", too, but in the process something important may be discovered. With over 6 billion people on the planet, we can afford to have a few investigating other avenues.
Everybodsy wants to be the next Copernicus of Galileo. In the end that is good because we have hardly found all the answers regarding the Cosmos.
