Nanomachines to clear arterial plaque funded
Early phase funding for research towards building protein + nanomachine thingys to root out some plaque and shore up potentially dangerous arterial deposits. If this really becomes feasible, is it preventive care and thus unfunded by medical coverage? Will only the rich afford this elective process at least for the 1st several years? Will life insurance companies offer incentives for incipient geezer customers to have this nano rooter job done and defer payout bucks and rake in more payments?
Ah gots t' amit that nanotech apps, from carbon nanotubes for HDTV to whatever are developing at a faster pace than I'd anticipated. Between nanotech and commercial robotics, the world of the 2030s is gonna be very different.
