This is one of those things.
We will never, ever know the true story. We won't know the true story about the Russian spies, about Snowden, about the secrets, or the interplay between all of them.
In fact, I think half, at least, of what we "know" now is not true. I really believe the US and Russia don't want the depth of these matters known.
