Where some of the right wingers here were upset that a large cross on a hill top cemetery in california was going to be done away with because of a constitutional challenge... In my opinion the right wingers had MUCH less standing than the Hawaiians in this case...
To be fair to the protesters the summit of mauna kea WAS a revered place- sacred before WE found it... but I do think people should grow up...
It is a tough situation that I dont have the answers to... I think a calm discussion where all representatives leave their emotions at the door would advance things positively in a great way... but I dont make those decisions....
Unfortunately lawyers are involved, so all hope of a fair resolution is lost...
