Hollywood Lobby to Re-introduce Broadcast Flag Legislation?
May just be a rumor by Hollywood may be trying to sneak broadcast flag legislation into an appropriations bill. If successfull it would be illegal to own a current DVR like TiVo, which has no mechanism to disable recording. In the past some Democratic congresspersons have supported such legislation while Republican leaders like Frist appear clueless on the issue. I for one hope someone with the consumer in mind is awake on the issue.
