"No comment" say Silvio Berlusconi on CIA staffers arrest...........

An Italian judge has ordered the arrest of 13 CIA operatives for kidnapping Iman Hassan Osama Nasr and spiriting him away to Egypt for interrogation in what the CIA calles a "rendition."

Apparently respect for law, national soverignty, the right of another nation to self-determination, etc. have all flown away in the rust to combat the "war against terrorism" by this administration. According to the report more than 100 suspects have been transferred by the United States to Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Pakistan, Uzbekistan and other countries with not so strigent restrictions against torture.

This does not sound like the United States I grew up knowing. This does not sound like the proud nation that joined in with the rest of the free world to stop the totalitarian led Japanese and Germans from forcing their ways on the rest of the world.

Perhaps you accept "the end justifies the means?" Oh, this is a communist slogan from the past? Well then, certainly no of us would be using this line of thinking.

After all, Nasr came into Italy from Albania, was a supporter of al-Qaida, he fought in Afghanistan and Bosnia and had made anti-American statements. Certainly, after 9-11 this is enough reason for US "intelligence" forces to grab him, even though they had to violate criminal law statutes, kidnap him, and get him out of Dodge where he could be forcibly "persuaded" to spill whatever beans he might have had.

9-11 was a terrible criminal action by people who perverted their religious faith by their actions. Shouldn't we be better than them?
