Hi All
Links for the individual proposals...
Mercury Sample Return
Using a solar sail.
Gamma-Ray Lens
Uses some tricky gamma-optics. Didn't think it could even be done, but x-ray optics have improved out of sight.
Solar Polar Orbiter
Solar-sailor. Orbits ~ 0.5 AU.
Deimos Sample Return
Self-explanatory, tho they expect ~ 100 grams Mars dust in a 1 kg sample.
Heliopause Probe
Solar-sailor. 25-year minimum lifespan. Does two 0.25 AU Solar "fry-bys" to get up to speed.
Jovian Mini-Sat Explorer
Two-probe system - one is a Europa radar orbiter that will crap-out in 60 days due to the rads and orbital decay.
They're all dinky little probes, but innovative especially using the solar-sails.
