- Louis Friedman who gave a talk about the Cosmos I mission. The news: there will be a Cosmos II mission with the same basic design (using some parts left over, etc.). It will not use a Volna launcher. Details are very fuzzy at this point. Look for more info at Labor Day.

- Rusty Schweikert gave one of his passionate talks about the NEO hazard.

- Bill Nye gave a humorous talk about comets and Deep Impact.

- Deep Impact scientist Bill Smyth gave a Deep Impact presentation.

- Bruce Betts, Bill Nye, and Bill Smyth gave color commentary as we watched the NASA TV presentation.
