Space/Science » in reply to How far does the laser stay as a beam?

welll.....

The artificial star we make at 90km was measured to be ~1 arcsecond in diameter, this means there must be no measurable divergence of the beam after 90 km... The scatter from the beam depends on the air it passes through, after ~15 km altitude there is essentially no scatter to see....
