It takes a village...........
I believe the village was identified by CNN. At any rate the Taliban knows precisely where the village is and CNN quoted a note sent to the village chieftans demanding the surrender of the seal to them. The village elders refused, saying he was under their protection as a guest. This makes me suspect this was a Berber village as hospitality and protection of guests is a tenent of their code.
This is a great story and I hope no harm comes to this village. To see direct defiance of the Talibani should be heartening to Americans.
