In 1967, the UN attempted to PREVENT Israel from
counter-attacking. It was a farce.
The UN had forces blocking the main roads into Sinai from both sides. Egypt told the UN to get out and moved its forces into the Sinai, in violation of the 1956 agreement. The UN forces promptly got out of Egypt's way. Israel then told the UN forces blocking its access to the Sinai to move out of the way so it could gain access to the battle area. The UN forces refused to move. Bad decision. Israel annihilated them.
