The US government plans on launching the Mars Recon Orbiter from Florida and Two Comm sattelites from Vandenberg AFB all on the anniversary of the terrorist attacks. Any wierd speculative comments on the coincidence???

Personally, I can't wait for the data and higher resolution mapping and radar results promised by the instruments to be used on the MRO, especially to shed more scientific detail for the mid-lattitude deep canyons and newly discovered ice fields.

The date coincidence in a time of high international tensions gives me a wierd feeling.

Any thoughts?
