These are different shots of the same people doing the same things to the same prisoners. The instigators are in the legal system, and some have been sentenced. The authorities concerned with bringing justice to the perpetrators have seen these pictures.

There is only a single reason for releasing these to the general public, and that is to use as a political weapon.

I hope that someone who seems to lie awake at night worrying about the poor CIA agents who may be endangered by Valerie Plame's loss of her job, will worry just as much about what the release of these photos will do in the Middle East, Iraq, and elsewhere.
