Interesting to see Jane Fonda as a late entry into the fray. Being opposed to the war, and going on tour with Fonda might well be counter-productive to the anti-war crowd.

A lot of people are, and have been opposed to this war for a lot of reasons; some emotional, some political, some based on philosophical grounds. Some, like me, have been to war and oppose it's use as a solution to political differences. If war is a "continuation of politics by other means," then war is a political failure by definition.

As much as I enjoyed Ms. Fonda as "Barbarella," I really don't think she enjoys any special position to be of help to the anti-war sentiment by protesting at this time. However, I do appreciate the spirit of making our democracy a participatory one.

The cure for the problems that exist in a democracy can usually be found in more democracy. Making your voice heard is part of this process.

So, go Jane. Be noticed in your veggie mobile. It might not be good for anti-war sentiment, but it is good for democracy. The protest your protest will bring will cause your opponents to vent and might relieve some of their festering steam.
