There are lots of historical parallels along these lines
Read Polybius, Caesar's "War Commentaries", William Shrier's "Rise and Fall of the 3rd Reich". It's not hard to image what would happen if we lost a city to a terrorist nuclear attack.
As Wrechard says: "The War on Terror is the 'Golden Hour' -- the final chance". We must solve this problem. No more sticking our heads in the sand and wishing it would go away. Doing nothing only makes the problem worse.
