The media is falling over themselves covering the recent Space Shuttle launch. Normally they ignore the Space Shuttle launches. However now that there is actual peril involved, the media is suddenly interested. There's an abandoned museum outside the perimeter of NASA Ames. In front of this empty museum is an old beatup 1/4 scale wind tunnel model of the Space Shuttle. This model was used almost 30 years ago in the now decommisioned 40x80 wind tunnel. A chain linked fence surrounds this empty museum but someone neglected to lock the gate. Yesterday I saw about 6 different news teams simultaneously televising their reporters pontificating in front of this wretched old wind tunnel model. They had carefully positioned themselves so the other reporters were out of the different television camera's field of view.

It would be fun to sneak up, lock that gate and then watch them try and get out.
