Whoa...
Judging by the shadow, that insulation is really sticking out there. I couldn't see it in the earlier pictures taken from below, which lacked a shadow and just showed a white blotch. Reminds me of old houses I've seen with the fiberglas insulation poking out from between the boards.
Looks scary--how dangerous is it, really?
