Having spent my whole career in the media industry - the conversion from IMAX to DVD was probably actually done at the same time as the editing of the IMAX theatre - whilst the budget for production allowed - and was only PUBLISHED in '05. I would find it very suprising if they acually MADE the DVD at any time other than the time of IMAX theatre release. And even if they did bolt it together post-Columbia, the studio would have dozens of DVD's waiting to be made, and farting about adding stuff to one doesnt ever really figure into the equation.
