jail and appropiation of all his assets would have served exactly the same purpose - if practical results are truly all that matter to the interested bystander. Russia however doesn't know much about the rule of law, thus making this murder the only option. Too bad for Russia (as usual, per sempre) - and too bad for others who applaud it, IMHO.
