Army Captians Win
A pair of female Army captains temporarily traded in their camouflage uniforms and combat boots for evening gowns and high heels and entered and won each of their state beauty pageants.
One officer was a West Point grad. They wanted to try a challenge "outside their comfort zone". Apparently, they blew away the competition in the interview process utilizing skills developed as officers communicating with subordinates.
