Tried to see the shuttle re-entry
Didnt see it even though a lot of the potential landing paths came close to the island... in fact one path would have taken it directly over my head...
I was disappointed, but relieved to step back in to see the safe landing on the TV in the summit lounge...
Weather did not allow us to do much observing with the telescope, but it did offer some wonderful views from the summit of distant lightning storms... it was quite spectacular...
