Nights of the Falling Stars

Last wednesday, I went to the Eurospace Camp with my NASA jacket (I wear it once a year) and was interviewed about my activities as president of an astronomy club by the national frenchspeaking radio station (Vivacité).
They played Culture Club's "Do you really want to hurt me" just before the interview and I explained the song reminded me of an interview of astronaut George "Pinky" Nelson (after his rescue of Solar Max during the flight in 1984) by a UK journalist who asked him if he knew Boy George (which made him laugh cause they have nothing in common except "George").
Those pictures were taken by Ashraf (in case he sees this post:-).
Later, I went to a huge space simulation room where every club had a table and room to expose things and explained space and astronomy to the visitors. This made me miss the beautiful sky outside (I was afraid to leave my PC unattended) but on friday night, from home it was great with Mars just on top of a roof! Finally this years first sight of Mars through a scope (this is a 20 seconds exposure).
On saturday, the weather got bad but we still organized our last Night south of Brussels and there were visitors and friends told they had heard me on the radio. Another (very cute young) free-lance journalist asked us questions and I mentioned the upcoming partial sun eclipse on october 3rd.
