A) The US media is crap
B) Bad news sells more than good
C) Good news from Iraq appears frequently on TV and in print. You ignore it or go "Wow. In the WaPo no less!"

You do the military a disservice by constantly telling them the media is out to get them.
Don't act surprised when they start spouting off about how they dont get no respect from the media.
