If you have none can I conclude that you have no rebuttal to it, just as I conclude SteveS had no rebuttal to it either since he responded to me, not Buck?
I didn't read it, (until just a few moments ago, when I briefly scanned it)because I already knew it was partisan, knowing Buck posted it and the context. I didn't need to read it, I already knew what it said, or at least what it was about--GOP duplicity and treachery. I have a feeling you didn't read it either until after I challenged you about it.
Even if I happened to agree with it, it was just political analysis which is pure interpretation, whether it be found in the National Review or the National Journal. It proves nothing.
When I read or hear partisan material (like the Chris Matthews rant) I may be inspired by the sentiment, or admire its style and rhetoric, but it is not data...It only tells you things that other people are already disagreeing violently about. It is evidence of nothing. Propaganda is much more effective at reinforcing existing misconceptions than it is at creating new ones.
That's why I rarely read anything linked to on posts here, and if I do look at it, it is only a cursory scan. That goes for material I agree with, or am totally neutral about, too. I come to read the posts. so don't ask me any more "Have you read X?" If I wish to comment on a linked document I will do so, if it has captured my interest. I don't owe you any of my time. And I don't have to apologize to you if I don't immediately drop everything I'm doing and scrutinize your latest gotcha. I am under no obligation to read anything you link to, especially when I already know you have probably selected it because it supports a political point you are promoting. My failure to read your pre-packaged agitprop does not mean I "can't handle the truth". It just shows I have no need to spend my time on something just because it you think it will reduce me to a lump of quivering indecision.
Is that clear? So don't get sanctimonious on me about my reading habits.
Don't feel picked on, like I said, I don't always read liberal screed either, and if I do, it is only just enough to pick up the gist of what it is all about.

Any comments?

- Unprecedented & Contemptible.
- What about this, then, Buck?
- But not unexpected
- It's not just conservatives
- I'm not convinced Obamacare is going to work either.
- Shutting down the government is just conservatives.
- Not exactly
- Exactly as I thought.
- Shutdown threats from a slightly higher official: (updated)
- So republicans threaten to shut down the government and/or default on the debt unless Obama bends to there demands
- Tom Terrific to the the rescue...
- Because not agreeing with the Republicans forces the Republicans to shut down the government.
