I didn't know it could be done. One guy told me he could do it, but was vague on the details, so I didn't believe him.
Today i had a really good reason for doing it, so started getting serious about the problem. This page got me started: http://www.wown.com/j_helmig/wxphdoms.htm
I had to improvise a bit, but got it to work.
Basically, you have to create a new user in XPHome that matches one of the users on the domain. I suspect this might not be necessary, but I did it anyway. Then you change the Workgroup to match the domain. Then unlike the webpage above says, I couldn't get through with network neighborhood. Instead I used Run to connect directly to the server (\\server). Then you just supply a username and password the server will accept and your in. You can also do the same to any computer on the domain. From there I was able to get network neighborhood to show all computers on the domain.
I don't know if you can permanantly map the drives on other computers. I didn't try it since I wasn't interested in a permanent setup. Basically, my task was to get a very huge file onto the XPHome computer and it would have been a nightmare burning it to multiple CDs.
