Trajectories
The launches from Vandenberg to Kwajelin (sic) Island fly a northerly trajectory after launch that takes them right up the California coast, and they are easily visible from here. Anyone within fifty miles of the coast between Santa Barbara and San Francisco should be able to see something if the sky is clear.
